Are you a student looking to make a difference on campus while gaining valuable work experience? The Division of Student Life employs over 500 student workers across a variety of departments dedicated to supporting the UMD community.

How do I apply?

Applying for a Student Life position is simple! All Student Life job openings are listed through the UMD Human Resources and Equal Opportunity website.

  1. Visit the UMD Student Employment Portal

  2. Select "Duluth" as the location.

  3. Select "Undergraduate" as the Job Type.

  4. Browse available positions and apply for the ones that match your interests.

  5. Check the portal regularly for updates on your application status and for newly posted jobs!

Once you find a position you'd like to apply for, follow the on-screen instructions to submit you application.

Have you heard of Work Study?

Work-study is a need-based financial aid award that lets eligible students earn money through on-campus jobs. If you're awarded a work-study it will appear on your Financial Aid Offer, be sure to accept it in your portal and tell your supervisor so we can attach it to your job record.
